I have to say that the atmosphere is very good. I like that creepy blue, the foggy and also, that red boat make this piece not boring and interesting Keep it up!
1) Beautiful and a joy to look at. The lines on the dock and boat are very interesting. The lack of of shoreline is mysterious. The bright red contrasts very well against the blues. The reflections throughout the picture creates a sense of tranquility. The picture has a painterly quality to it.
2) To make it better: You might have tried this when you were lining up the shot, but I wonder what it looked like with an offset composition? Since the eye is always drawn to the center of the picture, would the composition work if you placed the subject (boat) outside of the center of the picture? I'm curious as to what the shot would have looked like if you had gotten lower. I think doing so would have exaggerated the lines on the dock and provided more foreshortening/perspective. You might have tried this and not liked the way it turned out though. Finally, and I don't know how to fix this, the entire picture is slightly saturated with blue. Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful blue, but it washes over everything. As a viewer, I would love to see this picture with red more vibrant and the green reeds int he bottom right hand corner more prominent.
